There is a myriad of things to do and discover in the area.

The wonderful Jurassic Coast is right on our doorstep on the Dorset coast, with Lyme Regis being just as charming (and less crowded) in mid-winter as in the summer and well worth exploring.

Why not try Fossil Hunting or a coastal walk from nearby Charmouth. There are country walks away from the coast, too. One of our favourites is Lamberts Castle , an historic hilltop fortress

Going inland we have the charming and unspoilt towns of Axminster, Honiton and Bridport, all within an easy drive.

For golfers there are three courses within easy reach. The Axe Cliff Golf Club at Axmouth, The Lyme Regis Golf Club, and the Windwhistle Golf Club at Chard.
